Candle Care
Before The Magick
Before burning trim your wick to ⅛” to avoid:
• uneven burn
• soot build up
• large flame
• Ensure no debris is on the candle’s surface prior to use
• Ensure candle is place on a heat resistant and level surface
• Avoid drafts to prevent:
• Uneven Burn
• Soot Build Up
• Do NOT leave candles on a stovetop while using the stove/oven as the heat from the appliance can cause the wick to move out of place
During the Magick
• Avoid memory circles by burning candle until a full melt pool is reached
• NEVER move a burning nor liquified candle
• NEVER leave a burning candle unattended
• Ensure your candle is on a stable, heat resistant surface, avoiding plastic and tablecloth/cloth-like materials
• Do NOT leave candles on a stovetop while using the stove/oven as the heat from the appliance can cause the wick to move out of place
• Do NOT light a candle that has less than ¼ of wax within the container
• Burning multiple candles? Allow for 3” of distance in between the burning candles
• Flame too high? Blow out the candle, wait for candle to cool, trim your wick to approximately ⅛”
• Only light candles in OPEN areas, avoid lighting candles near items that can catch on fire such as curtains, bedding, towels, paper, etc.
• Keep away from pets and children
• Avoid lighting candles in locations where the candle could be knocked over
• Avoid drafts, as this can result in decreased burn time, an uneven burn, and even diminished scent throw
• Do NOT allow your candles to burn for more than 3 hours
After the Magick
• The safest way to extinguish a candle is a with a candle snuffer
• Do NOT extinguish with water
• WAIT until wick is no longer glowing prior to leaving the extinguished candle unattended
• Do NOT leave candles on a stovetop while using the stove/oven as the heat from the appliance can cause the wick to move out of place
